// Our Philosophy
Fitzroy IT is a business built on teamwork, old-school grit, and a relentless drive to win. When we look around at other Cloud consultancies, we see a broad church of styles. Many take a very slick, polished approach – but that isn't quite our style. We see ourselves as a different kind of competitor.
We're inspired by sporting legends like Kevin 'Bulldog' Murray – an AFL player from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s known for his courage, passion and competitive spirit. Murray wasn't necessarily textbook, but unyielding commitment allowed him to become a champion and even led to him winning a Brownlow Medal at 31 years of age.
Just like Murray, we believe that old-fashioned grit never goes out of style. It's about doing the grunt work, tackling every problem head-on, and getting your hands dirty to win the contested ball. At Fitzroy, we pair classic style with modern intelligence – using cutting-edge cloud, AI, and automation as our strategic playbook.

We don't have rigid systems or requirements that get in the way of what you want to achieve. We're big collaborators, from start to finish. And while we love to get technical in our work, we love educating our clients even more. So, if you are not sure about something, or you want to learn more about a specific tool or process, we're always happy to work through it with you. In fact, we prefer it that way!
There aren't fifty ways to go about it: when you own a business, you have to make money. Period. And if there is a solution or a system that will help you save or increase your profit, then that's the one you want. And that's the one we want to provide for you.
A lot of agencies are focused on their own growth, which results in a lot of yeses. We've been in the game long enough to know that doesn't end well for anyone. So, if your project timeline is too tight or we think there are aspects of your project we can't hold to the highest standards, then we won't take it on. Plain and simple. We'd rather be upfront with you than waste your time and money.
Whether it's through sponsorships or helping local businesses grow, we're very involved in our local community. We're major sponsors of organisations like the Fitzroy Football Club and Fitzroy Bowls Club. Our Fitzroy office is a cooperative hub where clients or collaborators can drop in and work with us directly, in a transparent environment.

Fitzroy IT was founded in 2011 with the aim of providing remote IT support to small businesses.
In 2012, the company expanded its services to include web development.
By 2015, Fitzroy IT had diversified into a wide range of digital solutions to cater to the diverse needs of its clients.
In 2019, the company introduced digital consulting services, which included strategic consulting, scoping, requirement gathering, product management, information architecture, product design, project management, user experience design, and customer experience design.
In 2021, Fitzroy IT was recognised for its efforts in cloud computing and received the AWS Rising Star Partner of the Year award for the APAC region.
As the company continued to grow, it maintained a strong focus on cloud services, particularly AWS, and expanded its expertise to include app and portal development, as well as location services to better serve its clients.
